I Can't Even Begin To Tell You How Excited I Am

Last night was a high water mark for me. I have been doing high school ministry for a long time. I've seen a lot of students become Christians. I've even seen many students become Christians all at once when speaking at large camps or retreats. But last night was something special.

We had a time of reconciliation, both with each other (which was amazing, by the way), and then with God. When I gave the opportunity to respond (for the first time) to Jesus' offer of forgiveness and reconciliation with faith in Christ 17 students responded in faith. Seventeen! I knew we had some students that weren't walking with Jesus, and I'd been praying for them and hoping they'd respond, but I had no clue we even had 17 students that didn't know Jesus. Some had been pretending for a long time, while for others this is a brand new thing. Either way, it's cause for celebration.

Everyone is tired today, as you can imagine. This is also the hottest day we've had all week, so that's leaching some energy too, but the students and volunteers are still doing great. Everyone is healthy (relatively, minus some sniffles and coughs). Please continue to pray for health, safety, and fruit.

After the morning and afternoon ministry rotations today we'll be celebrating with Iglesia Del Redentor (the church that's hosting and partnering with us) tonight. It will be a dinner/worship service/party mix. We're all in for a treat. Tomorrow we will do breakfast, a devo time, some worship, a short debrief and encouragement before heading home, then we'll pack up and head out in mid morning. We're aiming to be back by about 5pm, but we can never be sure what time we'll pull in because of traffic and crossing the border. I'll encourage the students to give parents a call when we've got a better idea of when we'll be pulling in.

Thank you so much for your support, trust, and prayers. It's been an amazing week, and the students have grown so much. I probably won't be able to post tomorrow morning because we'll be packing up and heading out, but I'll try to post on our way home to let you know we're over the border.
